The Red-Eyed Treefrog (Agalychnis callidryas) inhabit tropical rainforest areas where they are commonly found in the lowland rainforests and surrounding hills, particularly in areas close to streams and rivers. The frogs are excellent climbers and have suction-cup toes that help them attach themselves to the underside of leaves, where they rest during the day. The frog is well known for their huge, bright red eyes which are a possible adaption to nocturnality or the central component of a defensive strategy called startle coloration. They are usually a neon-like shade of green, but can sometimes range from blue to yellow in coloring. The sides are light blue with cream to yellow colored stripes with bright orange hands and feet
The magnet measures 2.5” x 3.5” (6.35 x 8.89cm) with a metal shell, mylar/UV protecting cover and flat magnetic back. The artwork is a reproduction of an original line art drawing by wildlife illustrator Roger Hall.
